Running an internet cafe business
July 19, 2008We used to run a small internet café years ago when. It was a very profitable business coz at that time there were only few establishments providing such service. Also our location contributed to its success coz it was near several schools so we have many students going there to rent computers and print their school reports, thesis and projects. Business was all the more good towards the end of the semester as students comply with their school requirements. We’d even close late to accommodate them. There was also a time when we’d add more computers because the demand was very high. Also having many printers helped in operating the business fast. And it’s best if you’re using a printer that can print fast too. Like the HP LaserJet 2420 q5956a which can print about 30 pages in a minute. It has 400 MHz processor and 32 MB RAM which can even be expanded to 288MB.
When there were already many internet cafes that opened few years after, it hurt our business. It wasn’t as good as before so we decided to close shop. It was a wise decision coz few months after, there was another computer shop that opened just across the street. I learned that it’s really important to have good working computers and printers when you’re in such business coz customers always prefer new computer units which are more efficient.
