Flea control for pets

Pets are cute especially dogs but what I don’t like about pets are the fleas!  I have a friend who’s fond of dogs but don’t know how to take care of them.  Guess what? His pets got fleas!  They badly need flea control!  Poor guy!  Last time I know he was searching the net for some tips and advices how to get rid of those annoying pests. It’s download time!

Yebaaaaa! Over a year of not watching movies (oh well maybe I did but not that much) so I’m catching up!  I’ve been downloading at torrentz.com again; but I think there’s only one thing that’s stopping me to download tons of movies and that’s the capacity of my hard drive. I know it needs more and my techie support isn’t here yet to do that for me.  Hinay hinay lang sa ko!  So far I downloaded 5 in all and deleted one after watching it. 

Travelling soon

Anytime soon I will be back on my feet touring some places again.  With my sister coming this week, I know I will be a busy tourist again. Hah!  I’ve been making some mental planning where we will go but haven’t made a definite decision yet.  Having a Schengen visa really helped in bringing us to many European countries easily.  I wish it’s that easy to get a US visa too as there are many tourists’ sights to visit in US that are up for discounted rates. Tempting!

I’ve already been to a European beach and it would be great to try also how US beach is like Siesta Key.  As dad would joke, it still tastes the same, salty!

Swimming in their death

SO I didn’t have time to water the plants!  After almost a week, their almost dying! Huhuhuhu  Who wouldn’t with the sun’s heat torturing them everyday and my lack of care?

This weekend I watered them, hoping they’ll survive the starvation. I guess they will, coz they’re looking good already.  I was afraid I watered them too much and they could be swimming in their death.

On t-shirt designs

When we were shopping for souvenirs during our Finland trip, I was appalled at the pricey tag of a shirt with Finland mark on it; 15 euro it says! Duh!  It didn’t even have an artsy design.  It was simply a blue colored shirt with a white Finland word on it.  Did I buy it? Nope!  I chose other souvenirs instead of buying the shirt and was happy to get more souvenir items for the sum of 15 euro instead of one shirt.  .  If they make the design appealing then probably I would tempted to shell out my money for it.

Making money with WOW account

Before when we were yet living in Cebu City, and the family had an internet café, most male students came to play internet games (though later, we stopped catering to games, realizing it isn’t good for the children, and it surely would affect their psychology though subconsciously maybe).

Useful GPS

Just last week we had a very full-scheduled, hurried tour for my parents to Vienna and Berlin, as they were already ending their two-month vacation here in Europe.

My hubby could not be sure of the way leading to their famous sights by car having travelled there before by plane. What he did was to program his GPS tracking system where we would be going. It was surely very helpful for it guided us, giving him direction which way to take.

Funny, as when we were yet in Finland the week before, when we were also toured around by my brother-in-law, with the GPS guiding him, how I wished my hubby would also have such a device, only to come home to Prague with him already having one!

This GPS gadget has many variations depending on one’s use for it. It can be beneficial for keeping track of fleets, like the GPS Vehicle Tracking especially if one’s business is along this line. It’s also an appropriate device for investigations, or for surveillance, or even just for personal use like travel, extensively used now by governments, businesses and even by ordinary civilians. It is compatible also to the Google Earth software. The device is handy, only pocket-sized, but it tells the location accurately within 2.5 meters (This is for the LandAirSea tracking systems). You can study and select one that best suits your needs.

Sit and relax here!

It’s very ironic how we Asians are afraid to sit under the sun or how we’d apply ounces upon ounces of whitening creams to make ourselves fair skinned while our Caucasian brothers welcome the sun with arms wide open.  They’d sun bathe all day to make their skin tan without minding the heat at all.  Do you know that they’d even pay to achieve such skin color in solariums?  Here in Europe, it’s very common to see lots of people relaxing and tanning themselves in chaise lounges by the pool, river or beaches.  It’s very relaxing for them to be lying there with their legs stretched out, eyes closed or sipping their favorite cold drinks.  I’d squirm at the thought of myself doing it.  Hahaha Only a few hours of exposing myself to the sun and I’m already a dark meat.  But there they are, roasting themselves all day and they don’t even get burned, just reddish.

Out in the sun

We were in the beach last weekend with the whole family.  We were all glad that it was sunny but the wind was a bit chilly.  In order to ward off the cold, I sat under the sun to keep warmed up that’s why I’m a little cooked now. Hehehe  I know it wasn’t such a healthy thing to do especially that I wasn’t using a sun protection lotion and I was only wearing a sleeveless top!  According to a sun protection swim wear fact, a typical cotton short only protects approximately 50% of the harmful ultra violet rays. Tsk tsk! I wonder how much harm was done to my skin! That’s why it’s really advisable to wear sunscreen when going out and wear swimwear when in the beach with Sun Protective Fabrics to avoid skin cancer that the sun rays can cause.  There are swimwear products from Solar Eclipse that are specially designed with high protective standards which shields UVR even when wet.  It’s ideal for beach bums who love spending long hours in the beach and under the sun. With a protective swimwear, they need not worry anymore of spending long time under the scorching heat and possibly acquire skin cancer.  

Running an internet cafe business

We used to run a small internet café years ago when.   It was a very profitable business coz at that time there were only few establishments providing such service.  Also our location contributed to its success coz it was near several schools so we have many students going there to rent computers and print their school reports, thesis and projects.  Business was all the more good towards the end of the semester as students comply with their school requirements.  We’d even close late to accommodate them.  There was also a time when we’d add more computers because the demand was very high.  Also having many printers helped in operating the business fast. And it’s best if you’re using a printer that can print fast too. Like the HP LaserJet 2420 q5956a which can print about 30 pages in a minute.  It has 400 MHz processor  and 32 MB RAM which can even be expanded to 288MB.

Pause…relax…WORK!

Oh yeah! I had like two hours of sleep earlier, I should be sleeping now while the little girl is asleep but I just can’t bear to rest when I know that there are tons of work waiting for me.  I first tackled the dirty laundry!  Whew!  After being on the road for three days straight it’s nice to be back home doing my normal tasks. Hehehehe, it’s tiring to be a globetrotter! heh!  

Tempting phone deals!

My phone is already two years old and is still working perfectly fine but seeing the latest models of mobile phones, it’s quite tempting to dump the old one and buy one of those new cool phones available in the market.  There are many deals offered by mobile communications companies these days that customers are getting confused which to choose. 

For UK phone users, they sure are lucky to have cheap mobile phone contract with the 3 Mobile deals.  They can choose a wide variety of deals or packages offered for most of their handsets. Now that’s great! If there’s a phone carrier offering similar deals like theirs here in CZ, I might really get tempted to get a new phone unit.

Up and awake

It’s almost 3am and I’m still awake.  Guess what I’m doing?  I’m transferring loads of picture files from our Euro travel to my mom’s USB drive.  My parents are leaving Prague after their 2-month vacation later at 4am.  Their travel wasn’t exclusive to Czech alone; we’ve stayed for 3 weeks in Finland and were able to see their very beautiful sights (mostly nature) and their historic landmarks too.  Upon returning to Prague last Tuesday, we traveled to Austria the next day and today we were in Germany. Whew!

One Wednesday afternoon

Every Tuesday outside the square near the building where we’re staying, there’s a marching band playing at 6-7 in the evening. The sound of their music would find its way inside the apartment through the open windows. We haven’t gone down and watch them play. 

But one Wednesday afternoon, we heard some singing from the square.  We looked out from the window and saw a group performing onstage, singing songs in “alien” language, probably Finnish. Since we were planning to go to the groceries, we hurried outside to see who’s on stage.

We stopped for awhile then proceeded to the food store.  On our way home, we stopped again to watch and take pictures. The audience seemed to be enjoying the show.  They even have a booklet and we’re sort of singing along with the group.

Promoting a business before is done through radio and television, but with the Internet around; all things have changed. EC stands for entrecard and i.ph is my blog’s host.  I have my other domain blogs registered with EC but my I can’t do that with my i.ph blogs cozzzzzzzzz the EC’s widget won’t work! Huhuhu  I wish i.ph would do something about it so  blueapron can enjoy the benefit that dropping EC cards give to website owners. Knock, knock i.ph, can you hear me?

Educating a child

As a mom of a baby, so many thoughts about my cute daughter have crossed my mind. When she will be of age, should I get a tutor for her? Parents understandably wish the best for their children and I’m no exception.
