On hard disk drives
May 29, 2008For computer users, a hard disk is one valuable component of the computer. It’s where all the files are stored, so imagine if it gets busted. All the files will be gone! There are also brands that are slow, noisy and those that easily get hot. You wouldn’t want that kind of hard disk drive. That’s why it’s advisable to buy only the best brand there is for hard disk. Hubby’s choice would be Western Digital or Hitachi.
If you want to know the current prices of hard disk drives, stop by Discount Technology. They sell computer components especially different kinds of hard drives. They currently have sale on SAS hard drives and also good deals on Fujitsu 15K disks.
Plants in planters
May 28, 2008Since beautiful blooms are abundant during spring, it’s nice to place flowering plants in planters which you can place indoors to add color to the house. With the many varieties of indoor planters sold in the market, you have lots of choices for your favorite plants. We ourselves are enjoying the spring flowers in our balcony courtesy of the plants we have planted in plant boxes and pots.
Window box planters are also nice accent pieces. I’ve seen several houses around that have plant boxes hanging on their window sills with pretty flowers in bloom; they are really pleasing to look at.
Plants whether flowering or not are simply cool to the eyes. They provide us with our needed oxygen too. So surround yourselves with plants! If you don’t have a land where to plant them, plant boxes can always be a good option especially for us living in high storey buildings.
You’re being tracked!
May 26, 2008A man was charged with murder after the GPS vehicle tracking device placed in his car tracked down his movements. Unfortunately for the suspect, he didn’t know that his wife placed the tracking device on his car after suspecting him of having an affair. But it was a blessing for the investigators and for the family’s victim coz the tracking device determined the places that the man went to which was contrary to his testimony.

The beauty of spring flowers

Flowers have a universal appeal. That’s why we all love and welcome spring for the flowers the season brings. Yeah, spring flowers are all around! Even along the wayside, they greet you to make your day!
Aside from the joy one gets to behold such nature’s beauty, flowers serve also as ideal gifts for any and all occasions: birthdays, anniversaries, graduation, Christmas, Easter, mother’s day, father’s day, wedding, funeral, or just to express one’s thank you, plain appreciation, or message of “thinking of you”, whatever. If just looking at a bundle of flowers uplifts the spirit, how much more does it uplift, receiving a bouquet as a gift? My mom received a bouquet of flowers as welcome upon her arrival here in Prague, and how her face lit with joy!
It’s the month of May, and May flowers, anyone? So many varieties come out during this month than any other. There’s one I can always associate with this month, as we have this in our garden, the “flowers of May”.
It’s good now that some flower shops find ways to bring flowers available to different parts of the world. Toronto flowers are also available and affordable. Go for flowers, let them speak the many words for the occasion, what you can’t express so easily, let the flowers speak so beautifully for you!
Nice and cozy outdoor furniture
While here in Prague where we are living in a flat, I’d miss our terrace back home which overlooks the sea, so I just browse over the net to comfort myself, and lessen my longing for our single-detached place. It’s here that I’ve seen this ideal collection of patio furniture, then I’d imagine fitting each one of them to our outdoor place back home, as if selecting , which would look nicer and more comfortable. A smile would then be on my face while I’d have this “game”.
Good thing our flat has balconies where I can still look out though the view isn’t that of the sea anymore. And it’s not as wide as the terrace we have at home where we can place patio furniture. But yes, those patio furniture I saw were really nice and cozy.

Travel might cost a lot but if you’re good at searching for cheap rates, you can very well find it. Most hotels offer last minute deals which is ideal for travelers who don’t mind taking vacations at short notice. It’s one way how to save on travel expenses.
Take for example you want to look for cheap San Francisco hotels or cheap Los Angeles hotels, cheaperthanhotels.com can help you find accommodations that will cost you less. Travel within US states is easy because you can take road trips from one city to another and if you should choose to fly by plane, there are many flights available everyday too.

On getting insured
May 25, 2008When you read or talk about life insurance, what thought immediately rings in your mind? I know some people who are not open to getting a life insurance since they don’t want to think about the possibility of dying and leaving their loved ones behind.
Browsing on the National Relocation life insurance site provides more information about this topic including explanation on some types of life insurance such as a 20 year term life insurance, the AIG term insurance, Prudential term insurance and others. You can also get free online insurance quotes by filling up the form.
Since life insurance is not required by law, most people don’t really think about obtaining one for themselves. Actually this type of insurance has helped our family when my grandmother died. It really is better to be insured and prepared because we don’t know when our time comes.
Springtime!
May 24, 2008I’m glad to be back in time for spring! The weather has been rainy and dark since we arrived though. Huhuhu! We were told weeks prior our arrival, the weather had been wonderful, almost like summer. Well at least today the sky decided to clear up and even Mr. Sun showed up a bit. We had the chance to take a walk and bask in spring’s beauty.

Yey! No more content link ads!
Last week i.ph surprised (hmm i think the proper term would be dismayed) their bloggers by inserting content link ads in our posts. I actually didn’t notice the ads not until I got an email from an advertiser rejecting my post. Ouch! After complaining to the customer support and airing out my dissatisfaction over the matter, I was hopeful that i.ph would act on it immediately.
I’m glad they did! Thanks i.ph for removing the content link ads and for listening to your bloggers‘ requests.
Shield your iphone from scratches
Is it possible to have a scratch proof iphone? Yes it is! With Zagg’s invisible SHIELD. It’s a great protection iphones coz its made of clear film that covers and shields your gadget. It also that serves as iphone cases. They use the same technology that the military uses in protecting high-speed helicopter blades from dirt and dust.
The invisible SHIELD may be light but its tough, tough enough to protect your iphone. But if ever it does scratch, the company offers a lifetime guarantee for the product ; they will replace it for free! That means, once you buy the invisibleSHIELD, you’ll forever have a protection for your iphone. Great huh?
My new passport!
I finally was able to use my new passport in my trip back to EU last week. It now has a stamp of Phil. immigration! It’s not so bare anymore.
So how does the new machine readable Philippine passport look like? It looks like this from the outside:
Instead of the old green-colored one, it’s now maroon!
An old lady at the DFA office kept asking us why the new passport doesn’t have a space for signature. "I don’t know Lola, basta amo na ila ginhatag!"
And just in case you’re thinking of traveling to Iraq, sorry dear, you’re not allowed!
Another opportunity to make money in the internet
May 21, 2008Next month my blog will turn two years old! Yey! This blog has made a big turn from what it was initially created for. Well, changes always happen and it’s for a good reason. As you may have noticed, I am monetizing this blog and until now I’m still on the look out for opportunities to make money. That’s why last week I signed up for another company named Bloggerwave that pays bloggers like me for our reviews or ads about products, services or websites. If you want to add some money to your pocket, this is one opportunity that you shouldn’t miss.
FYI: Bloggerwave is currently aiming to be Europe’s biggest advertising media on blogs. They are looking for more bloggers to join them so why don’t you sign up now?
The lure of video games
May 20, 2008You walk out of the neighborhood and you wonder why the basketball court is empty. It’s summer time, they’re supposed to be enjoying their vacation playing with their friends, but where are the boys? My hunch, you would most probably find them in internet cafes playing video games all day long. Even during school days, they’d scramble to these internet cafes to play on their break time or recess. Sometimes they would even skip their snacks or meals and instead spend their money on renting video games. It’s one of the problems that parents have to face in this high technology age.
I know some students who failed in school because they got addicted to video games. They would skip classes, or ignore their studies all together just to be able to play games. Parents should be vigilant about this; know what your kids are doing and be able to discipline them when it comes to playing video games. These games aren’t actually harmful per se, they can even be good for their motor skills but the key is moderation. If ever you buy them game console, choose for them games that are non-violent.
Fly them up high!
May 19, 2008Inflatable air balloons (pictures shown below) are versatile advertising materials and can even be used when holding shows, parties or festivals, etc. They can be printed with the company’s logos or slogans, or with cartoon characters. Their lively colors will definitely add life to any event.
These quality air balloons can be ordered at reasonable prices from Arizona Balloon, a US manufacturer of advertising balloons and bmilps. Their advertising blimps are their biggest sellers which are easy to inflate. A small advertising blimp can be inflated by a single person in 5-10 minutes only. They might be lightweight by they are durable. Whatever events you plan, don’t forget to brighten up the place with bright big balloons!

Brownout woes
May 16, 2008We had a power outage which lasted more than 10 hours since last night. I wasn’t so happy about that. You see it’s my last night at home before I’ll be flying miles away. I planned to spend the night packing up and also get details of our flight online, but with just the candles flickering in the dark night how can I work conveniently? Duhhhhh! There are lots of things to be done that need electricity. I have to print our e-ticket; I also have to confer with my hubby about some important documents. And I’ve got some work that needs to be submitted today. Dang and because of the longgggg brown out everything that I planned to do for the night was put off. And I’ve got only few hours left to prepare everything. Huhuhu!

Shopping for beauty products
May 15, 2008I’ve been shopping these days for our upcoming trip but mostly it’s all about baby’s clothes and food. How I wish I could still have time to shop for health and beauty products! I hope I could still squeeze some extra time for a visit to the salon for a hair cut plus facial plus foot spa plus some hair highlights… hmmmm… that would be wishing for the stars since my time is really limited these days, I haven’t even packed up my things yet!
Anyway, I’ve been browsing on a nice page at ShopWiki on health and beauty that could inspire busy moms on how to look their best despite their tough workload, whether at home or in the office. The site features helpful tips and guides on cosmetics, skin care, personal care, bath and body, fragrances and also grooming for men. For the busybodies like me, they can shop online for their beauty products and have the goods delivered to their doorstep so they can have more time at work or with their families.
Touring around Europe
May 14, 2008The summer of last year I wasn’t able to tour around Europe as I had dreamed of because I was pregnant then. But this year, I hope I can visit many European cities. Summer has the perfect weather to explore the continent.
Some of the cities that tourists flock to are Rome, Paris, Venice and Amsterdam. Rome is famous for the St. Peters Basilica and also as the seat of the Catholic Church. Paris on the other hand, is known as the city of light and has the Eiffel tower as one of the most sought attractions in the city. Venice which is yet another city in Italy is known for its canals and gondolas. Its counterpart is Amsterdam which is named as the “Venice if the North” because of its canals and scenic sights.
There are many more cities in Europe to see. The big continent offer travelers many places to explore and its easy to hop from one place to another; by trains or by planes as long as you have the money and the stamina to go places. Budget conscious travelers can even save on accommodations by checking out last minute deals which they can view in these links:
