Blueapron presents Czech cuisine
December 2, 2007It’s been a long time since I last posted food here! This blog has plunged in a totally different direction for a year already. Oh well, it has been a good twist for me.
Anyway since I had the chance to capture shots of the food “we” prepared for our guests last Monday I thought I’d share it here. That “we” there obviously means more than one person (heh!)… I helped prepare the ingredients like picking them out from the store, slicing, chopping and washing (that counts eh?) but of course the real credit goes to Chef Lilian. She’s the one who cooked the difficult-to-pronounce Czech food named Svickova and the not-so-original-Czech food called goulas.
Svickova consists of beef meat, sauce made from carrots, parsnip and other secret spices…topped with whip cream and (preferrably) cranberries or any marmalade would do and served with dumplings.

Here's another yummy Czech food prepared by Marielle.
It's called ovocne knedlik (dumpling stuffed with fruits) topped with pernik mixed with powdered sugar and melted butter. Would you believe this sweet thing is actually considered as a meal here? I even thought its a dessert!
There you go! I'll make a part two for this post coz I forgot to include Floe's Czech starters. Till next time!
Dobrou chut! Bon appetit!
