Posts I "heart"
March 16, 2007Carey tagged me again for the nth time! But this is extra special coz she personally created this meme – acknowledging and appreciating our “blogsy” friends’ articles and write-ups. For the blogs I’ve included in my meme, consider this as an affirmation of your creative writing skills. Keep writing and entertaining us!
Here are the rules:
1. Choose five blogs randomly from your blogroll.
2. For each blog, choose at least one entry (you could add more) which is your favorite post by this blogger.
3. Include a link to this post and explain why you like it.
4. The chosen five bloggers are considered tagged and they will also have to do the same in their blogs.
My 5 blogsy friends (chosen randomly) and my 5 favorite posts from their blogs:
1. Beatriz – one of the friends I made in my early days of blogging. You can tell from reading her posts that she’s a good person, kaya nga na drawn ako sa kanya. =)
A Lesson from an old man - a story of how a simple act of kindness made an old man happy and left a simple girl with a realization that she should be thankful in spite of her busyness.
2. Onyxx – she’s witty! And one good writer!
Living on your own – it tackles about independence; its challenges and rewards. I like how Onyxx likened her independent life to running a government or a kingdom. LOL!
3. Ann – she’s responsible for introducing me to the world of $ in blogging. The queen of B2P!
Ang Tagalog sa Davao – a funny write-up on how mixed-up the dialects in Davao are.
4. Bo Sanchez – hahaha I’m including him. Why not? You can learn so much from his posts. He is a preacher, a writer, a businessman… basta role model for everyone. He emailed me anyway, so he's a friend na.
Are You A Real Man? - Guys should read this post! What does it take to be a real man? Is it money, power, women and vices? Find out in Bo’s post.
5. Marielle - mi amiga in Praha. I was searching high and low for that post she made about her Czech pre-school students, but couldn't find it. Anyway, I chose this post:
Mommy is a housewife? - an ordinary day in the school where they talk about occupation. Same here Marielle, I wonder how Czech moms juggle everything with all the work they have.
Yesterday I saw a mom pushing a stroller with her baby sleeping inside and with two young kids (ages 3-5) tagging behind her. I couldn't imagine myself strolling out all alone with small kids in tow! Sa Pinas, bisag usa ra anak naa pa gyud yaya, naa pa gyud helper.
And the last but not the least of favorite posts I'm featuring here is that of…. (drum rolls)
Carey – my idol! Her posts can make you reflect deeply.
My wish for a happy and painless death – reflections on death. Yikes! Written almost a year ago but is timely for the Holy Week season (again).
Scarlet, Dys and Pree - girly talk kaayo. I like the cute nicknames she made up for her monthly visitors.
Wheelchair, anyone…? – simple yet poignant testimony of God’s hand at work.
